Ok so this is quite a tangent but Flat Earth theories (and other conspiracy theories) actually could make for some cool worldbuilding. Some of the ice wall stuff is genuinely really creative, it’s a shame they believe it’s real.
Discworld comes to mind. There are a lot of interesting concepts in the Pratchett novels.
That’s why people believe that kind of thing too. People want to think that there are new lands to explore. How cool would it be if there was a giant ice wall around the world.
