Thanks. IIRC the Zebralight H50 is a cm or so shorter than any of those. I’ll try to post a pic sometime. How do you like the Manker E02? I got one recently and find I wish it were smaller and that the UI was either greatly simplified, or replaced by Anduril.
The UI of the Manker E02 II is very similar to the Skilhunt UI. Low group with 6 (?) levels of very low light, medium level and turbo. Not sure how it could be much shorter. Same for the ZebraLight, it can’t be any shorter to fit a AA (except for the H50 which doesn’t have a reflector).
I see, yeah, I don’t care for that Skilhunt UI then. My only Skilhunt is an E3A (1 level 1AAA) which is great except I’d prefer that it ran at lower power. I might mod it for that sometime.
The H50 is also great and I love its pure flood beam. IMHO the main use of a small headlamp is for handsfree close-up use such as fixing something, pitching a tent, or reading. So for that I want a wide, even beam. Spotting something in the distance can usually be done with a handheld light. I find the E02 beam too narrow and might add a scotch tape diffuser. I haven’t tried Zebralights other than the H50 so don’t know about them. I’m amused that the E02 is heavier than either the H50 or the Nitecore HA11. Plus, the E02 headband is quite heavy and bulky and seems like an afterthought.
