    I will never understand how marginalized communities manage to not see how they could be stronger if they worked together instead of rejecting one another.

    Like why do we always go back to this bullshit tribalism? Is it because we’re a lot far less removed from apes than we think we are? Because holy shit I get tired of seeing marginalized communities outright rejecting people from other, similarly marginalized communities because of dumb shit like “they’re not attractive enough.

      Absolutely! I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately, and ultimately I’ve come to the conclusion that while each marginalised community does have its own specific needs, they also share many other needs in common (mainly around rights, poverty, lack of opportunities, etc) where solidarity is for the benefit of all. We’re all in this together, and fighting against the same oppressive forces, who are the only ones that benefit from keeping marginalised communities divided.

      “Divide and conquer” is being pushed, and people are falling for it.

      It is extremely frustrating to see.
