“I’ve always viewed my role as a chair of the Democratic Party to take the low road, so my candidates and elected officials can take the high road, meaning, I’m going to throw a punch,” Martin said.

He suggested, implicitly, that he would be a departure from the party’s previous chair, Jaime Harrison, telling reporters, “This is a new DNC” and that “we’re taking the gloves off.”

    Ken Martin is no perfect angel, but he’ll make progress a lot easier than the previous chair. He helped elected reps who got a fairly progressive agenda through in Minnesota with a one seat majority

    Paid family leave, free breakfast & lunch for students, free community college for families making <80k, guaranteed paid sick leave, banned companies from holding mandatory anti-union meetings, etc.
