the biggest sign that the people in star trek are living in a utopia (besides the fully automated luxury gay space communism) is that they have holodeck porn available to them 24/7/365; but they still get shit done.
i know i would never leave the house if i had holodeck porn. lol
there are hundreds of crew on the enterprise and you need like 9 to run the ship. they need so many extra people cos everyone spends 10 hours a day gooning, and maaaaybe 2 hours working. so they need lots of crew to fill out the 12 shifts / day.
(as if a magical room with the ability to let you interact with whatever you want and in any you want wasn’t already too fantastical believe in the first place). lol
