    we came here illegally during a time when immigration was only starting to become politicized as it is now and i’m thankful because i can’t image what i life would be like if we did the same thing now.

    i can’t image how fucked up i would be if they took me away from my parents and locked me up. some of these kids have reached adolescence now and can’t remember what their parents look like or think of their custody situation as home.

    if they were anything like my parents; they would have preferred to leave me here without them rather than being forced to return to mexico with me in the clueless belief that my life would automatically be better by being in this country.
