It is a pretty relevant plot point. Especially with Agatha All Along running right now.
Othmar is talking about implied acceptance of a contract.
Implied acceptance is when a person’s actions indicate that they agree to the terms of an offer, even if they don’t explicitly say so. This creates a binding contract between the parties involved.
Basically, if the contract says that I will have to give you support and in turn you will be bound to my academy, and then I give you that support, I have indicated that I agree to the terms of that contract. Even if my legal department messes up signing it.
Of course, Alpine never tested whether that line would hold in court, and therefore it’s eeh.
While it is hard to get “official” information about it, there definitely have been news reports that some of the most successful movies ever had some bad test screenings and vice versa.
Yeah, test screening reactions rarely are indicative of anything.
Well this confirms how insanely long ancestors/relatives of San and Khoekhoe have been living there, with no major upheal between 10.000 and 1.000 years ago.
The important part here is not to help a racist narrative that these groups have faced, given that they traditionally are hunter-gatherer societies. We do see that these people had cultural innovations over time. Several stone technological shifts are preserved at the Oakhurst site, and around the same time, are similarly found across archaeological sites in South Africa.
It is highly unusual for humankind overall, this long period in most parts of Eurasia saw waves and waves of migrations. But in this specific region of Africa, a group of people stayed the same and didn’t produce offspring with outsiders for thousands of years.
No, I found this one on mastodon. Whoever posted it originally really was an admin of a university’s own instance.
Ah, you mean Sharon! If she turns out to be a comic character, that would be quite a plot twist.
Nice idea to have them break Alice’ family curse. And the idea of hiding a protection spell in a popular song is a fivehead move. Schaeffer’s team is really good at world building (judgingly looking at you, DS2 team).
To see the witches bond over their “battle scars” and trauma is great, especially with Jen being the kind of witch - a midwife - who embodies real-life women who were accused of witchcraft.
So what I am getting of this is that Rio was involved in taking away Nicholas from Agatha? Or something worse?
Her telling Agatha “that boy isn’t yours” could have some unintended consequences… because that boy surely is Billy lol
Wait, who is Eric Foreman’s mum? Is that a reference I don’t get?
3,5% milk is also the standard milk here in central europe and it says so on the packaging. People call it simply “milk”, but it clearly says 3,5% milk on the branding.
Depends on the context. If it is written/talked about in a geographic context, it will usually mean “the Americas”. If it’s in a political context, it will mean “the USA”.
Keep on mind that reputable news outlets won’t use “Amerika” when referring to the US however, they will use “Vereinigte Staaten” (United States). “Amerika” as a term for the US is very much a colloquial thing.
I have no TV. I watch all my movies and series via a big PC screen which has no TV functionality.
So you mean, thematically focused on the fediverse? Or able to listen to over the fediverse?
Linear TV over an antenna? Well that’s only technically free. You’d need to buy a receiving device - that costs money. You need to watch ads - that costs time.
I think it’s the top of the teen boy/girl group hype?
Sulayem used to be referred to as “Ben” in the racing community but ever since his controversies started in the media, people have started calling him “MBS” lol
Sounds like simply shitty programming if they need a 15 minutes delay in order to give users the possibility to edit their posts … editing posts is possible in lots of fediverse software without such hacks lol
Personally, I’m always fascinated by comic nerds who want to acquire some specific Variant Cover of a specific comic issue. But good for them!
Does anyone know whether the current Scarlet Witch comic series is good?
