4·2 days agoEither way, I don’t know what counts as huge. Even back then we still stretched from Maine to Florida to Texas, which is over 2500 miles at its longest. That’s still pretty damn big. Still bigger than any country in Europe minus Russia.
I just wanted to give a comparison.

241·3 days agoDuring the Civil War we were less than half our current size. Maybe even a third the size. I can find maps that show our size but none that actual say what our land area was. I could calculate it, but I’m not. Also, we had about 10% of our current population.
So yea, we were quite a bit smaller back then.

Aged Like Milk@sh.itjust.works•A tweet about the 2024 election.
83·3 days agoAnd he certainly wouldn’t have done anything to help home prices. If he felt Iran was close to a bomb, he certainly would have bombed Tehran. Him or Kamala. Hell, Kamala’s signature kitchen table policy was a bone-headed plan to offer a large tax credit to first-time home buyers. Except that would have done nothing except bid property prices even higher.
None of these are “objectively true facts.” This is speculation.
Maybe Kamala’s house buying plan would have driven up prices a bit. But unless it somehow drove up the costs of all houses by the amount of “free” money, then it still would have been effective for its purpose; getting a house for a first time buyer. You don’t need the same type of help when switching houses.
The only true fact you have is about Israel.
Probably cause he’s doing something else with the teens. There’s already plenty of evidence of that.

But it just depicts it as “People dumb, LOL” and not how that dumbness arises or persists.
Well, it’s a comedy, not an education piece. It was never intended to have any sort of accuracy. People just relate to it because it seems like far too many people in charge make awful decisions because of ignorance, willful or otherwise.
