To be fair, Merriam Webster seem to think that you can spell it “calk” ;P

Called a plinth block. When done right they look really good, when done wrong….
I’ve only seen them for rounded corners. This picture has to be a joke as just butting the pieces in the inside corner would’ve been better than a premade outside corner
