Its not baffling, it’s the stock market.

Simple basic, and to the point.

If you’re a publicly traded company, you’re legally required to be fucking dogshit.

You have to meet quarterly expectations, and if you don’t you have to fire people to meet the “”“needs”“” of the shareholders.

Father of 3, 300K in debt: “But we’re in the black! we’re making bank!”

Wealthy Geriatric 110 year old corpse: “yes, but we didn’t make enough bank, so you’re fired.”

This is a system of the utterly deranged.

Because they can… what have you done for me lately. I.e. unless your tied to a UPCOMING money making project… Your not needed.

Probably just using current market uncertainty to clean house of expensive people.

Wizards is a subsidiary of Hasbro, doesn’t matter how good they do in the open market. They have internal politics. So somebody has an OKR… to trim the fat. Make the numbers go up to the right.

I’m going further than that. I’m saying it’s not going to maximize revenue. I’m saying it’s just somebody chasing a promotion

Ii also don’t understand this. This is like a publishing house acquiring Marvel then laying off the staff. This is Elon at Twitter in 2023, if I can go a little TNG here.
