Has anyone actually did any detailed testing on it? We already have two pieces of software that do the same thing and while choice is good I feel like Virtual Desktop has the good version on lock down, I guess maybe valve can steal the easy version crown from Meta?

While not detailed testing. In my use it is bounds better than airlink, but still not as good at virtual desktop. But it does get quite close! It definitely has an ease of use factor going for it as well which is nice.

Others have pointed out that this is likely the software that will be used with Valve’s upcoming headset and they’re beta testing it now. Valve is known for playtesting the shit out of everything so this makes sense. By allowing the app to run on other headsets they can also funnel some users towards Steam.

If it’s a standalone VR headset that doesn’t require a PC, Valve’s will probably be the one I finally buy.
