Archaeologists uncovered over 100,000 ancient coins, some more than 2,000 years old
Just some dead billionaire hoarding all their wealth /s
Toilet paper
Buried during the great COVID toilet paper rush?
A veritable hoard.
That the first thing I saw 🤣
What is the total value of this find? I skimmed the article, but I didn’t see a statement about the coin materials. Are any of them silver or gold? One picture looked like it was copper or bronze.
I think it’s probably way to early to know. I imagine it’ll largely depend on rarity and condition and with the being so many it’ll probably take a while to catalog everything. I honestly don’t know though.
Do you want terrible curses brought down upon yourself, your family, and possibly humanity? Cause this is how you get terrible curses brought down upon yourself, your family, and possibly humanity.
I mean you joke but it might be a war horde, the Japanese were and are pretty well known for burying horrific collections taken from war that they build temples over.
Don’t get me wrong it’s not particularly unique to Japan but goddamn did they excel at it.
Nose temple is a pretty good example.
That’s fair, I take back the ancient part… but I’ve seen enough films to know those coins are guarded by malevolent spirits bent on revenge.
