For context:
These were found in the Mt. Hood wilderness, about 50-100ft from a river, just next to a tree with some moss. Most of them were buried under the ground, but a few of them were poking out, which is how they caught my eye.

More info:
I cut one in half about 20 minutes ago. So far no discoloration. The smell is sweet, almost reminds me of melons? One of them has a slight orange spot in the gills that I assume is bruising.
