Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said Tuesday that he would not give Democrats anything in exchange for their votes to help save his Speakership, after Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) moved to force a vote on ousting him.

“They haven’t asked for anything. I’m not going to provide anything,” McCarthy said in an interview on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”

    “They haven’t asked for anything.”

To be fair, Kevin is a Republican, so asking for anything is an exercise in futility. Republicans only know how to rape, horde pedophilia, and prop up Nazis and the Klan.

I especially love the way he was completely oblivious to the irony in this statement:

“And that’s the question it has to be: Are we now in a situation in our government that we just provided keeping government open, that we’re going to play politics with how you become Speaker? If that’s the case, then I think we got real problems,” he continued.

This fucking dipshit is practically begging the Democrats to vote for Hakeem Jeffries. He’s given them just enough rope to hang himself with.

Anyway, hope the Dems in the House see what we do and send this twerp packing.

The only reason I can think of is that Republicans are probably not capable of electing a new Speaker (who is not McCarthy) before the 45-day reprieve expires on government funding. The House needs to be functional in order to pass a budget.

I find it highly doubtful they will be able to fill the position at all. The only reason McCarthy has it is because he gave in to the Freedom Caucus’ demands and got himself into this very position (which many predicted would happen). It’s up to the GOP to lead their majority, and they can’t even agree who that is amongst themselves.

What a shit show. They put their own party against doing the business of the people.

I’m secretly hoping enough Republicans get so sick of the magas that they switch sides and make Jeffries Speaker. That would be the ultimate insult, both to the magas and the GOP as a whole. Alas, I can only dream.

It’s such bull shit that the default is to not give democrats anything without even knowing what they are going to ask for. Doesn’t matter if it’s good for the citizens, just fuck them. Our political system is a fucking joke.

Well look who fucked around & found out.

Would have been even funnier if he had named AOC as acting speaker as insurance.

I hope the Democrats go “You’re not going to give us anything? Well fuck you too. No Speakership for you.” The Democrats have to put McCarthy in their place.
