A federal judge has blocked the state of Hawaii from enforcing a recently enacted ban on firearms on its prized beaches and in other areas including banks, bars and parks, citing last year's landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling expanding gun rights.

      They won’t. The whole point of the acts wasn’t to stop change, it was to reduce the number of people carrying firearms at least for a finite period of time after the Bruen ruling. This chilling effect was likely to dissuade people hearing about Bruen and rushing for a permit.
