Just noticed that! So, installing as we speak.
Nice, currently installing it on my Steam Deck right now
After some fiddling in the first week I never really cared about getting my gog games to my Deck - but now for that I’d be interested what’s the best option to install, keep up to date and sync my saves?
Definitely Heroic Launcher. It will do everything you want for your gog, epic and amazon games. Cloud saves are still an experimental feature (afaik) though. Oh, and updating isn’t automatic. You’ll have to update by going into desktop mode, starting heroic launcher and update your game from there.

Or just add HL to your steam library. Use BoilR to get nice grid pictures for just about anything.
Does the font size get bigger when it’s running on the Deck’s screen?
I don’t think so, played a little and the text was readable though.
Well, that didn’t take long. Gonna download it tomorrow morning.
I’m finally playing thru the Witcher 3 (always stopped at like 10hrs before, currently 22hrs in) but as soon as I’m done with it I’m buying this game. Can’t wait plus we should all be supporting a game with no microtransactions
I’m almost level 60 in Diablo, without going into the new season… How do I find time for another endless game?
Does Baldurs Gate work offline?
It works offline for me on my steamdeck.
Still haven’t made it past character creation
What settings are y’all using? I have everything mostly on low and getting a decent framerate, but it looks like ass.
I’d be happy figuring out how to make hair not look terrible.
Here’s the advice I found somewhere else, it looks really good now:
I’m running a few lows and mediums, but the most important are textures at medium or high, models on medium and low, FSR on Ultra Quality and AA on the far option. The image quality becomes acceptable and it runs at 30 fps with ocasional dips.
I can’t get it to run past the Nvidia GameWorks logo. Just a straight crash back to SteamUI every time.
I’ve not changed any settings. If it’s deck verified it should just work right?
Try using Proton Experimental.
Tried it. Also a whole bunch of other versions incl GE.
Found someone on Facebook with the same problem so at least it’s not just me eh?!
Looks like we’ve both got Cryotools and decky power tools installed so it could be that.
Given I uninstalled it and its huge I cant check that just yet though.
I have the same problem and actually tried to reset cryotools and set back UMA back to 1gb. Still no luck.
The only real difference I see is forcing experimental or hotfix. That atleast gets me to the Nvidia logo. Else it’s crash to homescreen directly.
I see that the game creates 2 crash logs and a crash dump in its Bin home folder when crashing. Sadly no easy helpful informations in there.
3 of us! 3 of us! 3 of us!
I followed the example of the other person on Facebook and did a factory reset. Luckily I have most of my stuff on the SD card but i’m still going to have to set up a bunch of stuff again.
But more to the point, it worked!
I did a fresh install of BG onto deck storage (not SD) just to be sure (which still took forever cause 122GB) but I’m in and playing!
Found something else yesterday after rabbitholing down the steam forums. Now you solved your problem already. But hopefully that keeps it from coming back.
Currently there seems the a problem with PowerTools installed and the Game.
So if the game is crashing after the Nvidia logo (on experimental or hotfix) try to remove PowerTools and restart the Steamdeck.
If you tried a bunch of other proton versions, you may need to clear the compatdata dir for the game and then run again with experimental. The directory can get in a weird state with some games if you try to run multiple proton versions - i.e. one applies a fix on startup that breaks it in another version.
