I know I shouldn’t be surprised but the absolute, explicit depravity on display here is really disturbing.
I think it is safe to say that the Zionists have taken a massive blow, from which I do not think they will recover.
-
60+ years of carefully curated propaganda and narrative building was effectively undone in a little over a year. Across multiple regions, and especially in the western world, the entity is being correctly described as a settler colonial project.
-
This genocide has solidified the entity’s status as a pariah. Settlers of the entity are increasingly being singled out in other countries, and are now beginning to experience the threat of arrest in other countries. The settlers, from this point forward, will have fewer and fewer countries to flee to. Where ever they will go they will be met with a populace that will reject them with greater intensity as the genocide continues.
-
The opinions of non-Arabs, and to a lesser extent Arabs living abroad, is irrelevant to the Zionist project. The rest of the world cannot consent to the existence of the entity, nor does it have any control over its existence. What I mean is that no one can give an answer to the Zionist project except for the Arabs living in West Asia/ North Africa. This is because it is those people who will have to grapple with such a project. Pre-oct-7th the trajectory looked as if normalization with the entity would progress successfully. Normalization with the entity, and not the genocide of the Palestinians, will be the nail in the coffin of Palestinian liberation. This genocide has truly detailed any current and future commitments to normalization with the entity. To put it simply, there is no future relationship between the Arabs and the Zionists, this is political (and military) suicide.
-
You may be thinking now, that I am wrong about the world (namely the US) not having any control over the existence of the entity. After all, the entity receives money, weapons, information, and a blank cheque to commit genocide. These are not enough to guarantee the entity’s existence. Normalization would have offered a solid future for the entity. The entity will not be returning to its status quo, from this point on it will be embroiled in constant scuffles and battles within a larger war for its destruction. Basically, there will be no more peace for the settlers. It has made the mistake of allowing itself in a quagmire, that is the nature of this asymmetric war after all. The entity survives and thrives in quick, decisive battles. These types of battles have little to no logistic issues; they will receive their weapons and never have to worry about shortages during battle because their battles don’t last long enough for it to be a problem. As soon as the battle started it will end, and then they have as much time to restock as they need. It cannot handle wars and battles that last years, attrition warfare is a matter of who has better logistics and bigger stockpiles. Needless to say, the US and Europe have stretched themselves quite a bit with Ukraine. Soon we will see another front open up with Taiwan (2027 according the US’s own estimates) which will only further stretch their resources. I do not see the Ukraine war ending in 2025 or 2026, despite what liberals and some leftists have said about Trump wanting to end support for Ukraine. These are major fronts that the US is backing, and each one is/ will take up resources that the other could use.
-
What does point 4 have to do with anything? Well I don’t believe that the US will actually cut its losses with any of these fronts. What will happen is a slow grind with falling performance in each front. This is because the US stands to lose so much from each front. Give up Ukraine= give up Europe, give up Taiwan= give up on China, give up the entity= give up West Asia and North Africa. The cost of each is so high, that they will be forced to commit to each one until the bitter end. So none of these fronts will actually be closed by the US, instead it is going to keep them all open while giving less resources and getting shittier results in return.
These are just my thoughts.
I am wrong about the world (namely the US) not having any control over the existence of the entity
The normalisation between the entity and it’s neighbour countries did not happen in a vacuum where US influence doesn’t exist.
Two US vassal states avoiding direct hostilities is not a surprising development.
Two US vassal states avoiding direct hostilities is not a surprising development.
I don’t think you comprehended my comment, or the actual situation to be honest. This is a nonsense statement, direct hostility between vassals was never going to happen; it has NEVER happened. My point was that efforts towards normalization are effectively dead from this point forward. Even the Arab vassals cannot tolerate this.
One would like to think that all normalization was at the behest of the US, and that no one “really” wanted to work together. However this is extremely far from the truth, and quite frankly is just naive and ignorant. In actuality, normalization with the entity was much more popular with the average Arab outside of North Africa, Sham (the levant), and Yemen. The Emirates and Saudi Arabia were eager to work with the entity, especially with economic collaborations. The thought process was that normalization would eventually lead to a Palestinian state (2-state solution).
I do not think you are aware of this, but early in the genocide (I am speaking first 3 months) Saudi Arabia explicitly stated that it will end all normalization with the entity unless the genocide is stopped. This was reported in Arabic speaking news, but English resources also reported on this.
One of the explicit goals of Sinwar and Hamas was to end normalization with the entity and reinstate Palestinian independence and liberation as the dominant goal. A one state solution. They obviously know much more about their situation and how to handle it than chauvinistic westerners.
I think it’s a good idea for you to accept the analysis of actual indigenous revolutionaries, and to read up on how normalization with entity, before oct-7th, was progressing. Every Arab knows that the najd was working towards normalization.
My point was that efforts towards normalization are effectively dead from this point forward. Even the Arab vassals cannot tolerate this.
I hope you are correct.
One would like to think that all normalization was at the behest of the US
Blinken seems to think that normalisation is very helpful.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that a normalization deal between Israel and Saudi Arabia, which he negotiated but did not complete, remained the best way to encourage Israeli-Palestinian peace. “The prospect of normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia represents the best opportunity to achieve the long-sought goal of Israel’s greater integration in the region, and it’s also the best incentive to get the parties to make tough decisions necessary to fully realize the aspirations both of Israelis and Palestinians”
I do not think that the normalisation talks are 100% at the behest of the US; however, the protection given to the entity by the US makes that normalisation attractive in the first place.
Would these states still want to partner with a neighbouring genocidal apartheid state if BDS were in place?
Would an Arab state partner with the entity until the end…like the entity partnered with apartheid South Africa? I would hope not.
The Emirates and Saudi Arabia were eager to work with the entity, especially with economic collaborations.
All the things that are true about the entity today, were also true before Oct-7th. If the possibility of economic gain before Oct-7th made these states eager to work with the entity, how long will it take for that to be true once again?
Saudi Arabia explicitly stated that it will end all normalization with the entity unless the genocide is stopped.
What is the current situation? Talks are suspended?
They obviously know much more about their situation and how to handle it than chauvinistic westerners.
Agreed.
I think it’s a good idea for you to accept the analysis of actual indigenous revolutionaries
I do not reject that analysis. Putting an end to normalisation is very clearly a good outcome for Palestinian liberation. As you said “those people will have to grapple with such a project”, I have nothing bad to say about any of the tactics.
The point I wanted to make originally; before that normalisation is realised, the US is principally responsible for:
- protecting the entity from international scrutiny;
- Providing the weapons and security that the entity needs to defend itself;
- shielding the entity from BDS movements;
- pushing vassal states towards (and guiding them through) peace talks.
Without the US, how long would the entity survive as a pariah state in West Asia?
Without the US, which Arab state would be seeking “normal” relations with their genocidal neighbour?
