Because the first waves of immigrants included a lot of people mad they couldn’t oppress the majority in Europe

So they came here with the intention of out reproducing everyone else so they could be the majority and make everyone listen to them.

A lot of their descendants became less extreme or moved away from religion completely. But there’s still a lot of them with the same goals today.

Because it was mostly founded by religious weirdos whose sects were suppressed in their home countries and came here seeking the freedom to practice their weird religion without a state church to stop them.
