Not a bad way to explain Buddhism to be honest. “To stop desiring is to stop suffering”
LPT: Lower your expectations as low as you can and prepare to still be disappointed, and you’ll at least never be really disappointed. Also, practice pessoptimism: Assume the worst and try to make the best of it.
I’m pretty sure the great philosopher Mr. Peanutbutter of BoJack Horseman said it best:
“The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn’t a search for meaning. It’s to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you’ll be dead.”
I’m still not happy, so I go even lower?
