Honestly doesn’t seem like my thing but a neat enough concept that I thought I’d post it here.

Also somebody in the comments mentioned that the itch.io bundle for trans youth earlier this year had this game.

i’ve only managed to play one game of it so far, but i really liked how it changed up the usual blades in the dark rolling system by removing the position/effect negotiation and making that entirely player-facing (players can choose to go desperate position for more style points, and spend limited metacurrency to add greater effect). resistance rolls are also completely removed, you instead mark a trouble track that affects your outcome dice pool near the end of the skate-heist, which has the possibility of adding negative points to your character’s campaign-wide ending roll if you roll bad enough

the mechanical changes wouldn’t fit the tone of base blades, but I’d love to see more forged in the dark games taking inspo from slugblaster in the same way brindlewood bay caused a mini pbta renaissance. it’s a neat game even if “Rocket Power meets 80’s/90’s future dimension hopping” is a harder sell than the usual genres
