it came to my attention that my previous post on basic geography https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/14668411 needed an inset for Michigan to provide better geographic context, thanks @Technus@lemmy.zip for the catch!
The only problem I have with this post is it implies I give two shits about Michigan.
Well done.
Do not worry, I never assumed you gave even one shit about Michigan. I assumed you gave two, maybe three, shits about essential geographic context in the art of cartography
I was being a pedant for shiggles, but I appreciate the generosity of your interpretation.
As a michigander I love this
…fought Indians, fought drought, fought locusts, fought Dix…!
I love the fact that “Toledo” is still correct, and laughed my ass at Quebec being bigger than Canada … poor Andorra
Espera, ¿todo es Ohio?
Si, siempre
Ootl, why is Ohio?
Excellent question, but I don’t have an answer, sorry :(
I grew up on the Ohio/WV border. This would have made my childhood significantly more interesting lol
Are you Steubs or Wheeling?
MOV. Belpre/Pburg.
Question, is the UK, Scotland or just Stranraer Toronto?
Well we’ll have to wait for the next edition of the map of Ohio and it’s surrounding regions, but I have a feeling that the labeling is slightly off and Toronto actual is farther south and east.
Carlisle? That’s nowhere near Northern Ireland.
I haven’t got a map reference for where Northern Ireland is, but looking at my maps Toronto is to the south east of Unified Upper Michigan
