As someone who hadn’t played fighting games in a long long time and jumped into Street Fighter 6 … it’s very helpful to see something that explains what these numbers are.

Hope this helps someone :)

I’ve played anime games (mbac way back when and strive) before so I’m no stranger to the system, so I’m glad sf players are starting to adopt it. I still see a lot of people notate with st.MP or cr.LK, etc. but specials are mostly numpad notation or the move name now. Honestly surprised sf community is trending toward numpad notation.

SF6 has been my first fighting game I’ve ever really gotten into, switching to the Numeric system for notations definitely helped. Thanks for the share!

P.S. Switching to keyboard on PC has helped greatly in terms of timing combos and hits.

I’m not a big fan of the numpad system having only played SF as my main fighting game. But I understand it’s appeal for new players and players from anime fighting games.

My biggest gripe is that a standing MP gets written as 5MP. Kind of like seeing N.SP in the trials for modern, it makes me think there’s a neutral button I need to press.

I’ll personally keep using the standard SF notation but I think it’s important for all players to understand both.
