Gamers Nexus just published a video detailing the upcoming release of AMD’s 5600X3D CPU. Looks like it will be a U.S. and Micro Center exclusive product as there weren’t enough yields to release the product globally. The CPU is supposed to be $230 at launch. This will be one last hurrah for anyone on AM4, and if it’s anything like the 5800X3D (which to some extent it should be, it’s apparently a failed/cut down 5800X3D), then it might be a good upgrade option for anyone using a 3000 series Ryzen CPU or older. Of course, definitely wait for reviews before buying, those should be up July 6th. What are your thoughts on this? Is anyone planning to upgrade to it if there performance is compelling? I think even though it’s unfortunate that it’s a U.S. only launch, it’s much better than AMD just throwing out the CPUs.
