Huh, I get why the rule is in place but this sounds pretty borderline. It’s not like she’s in a position where she’s likely to financially benefit from her councillor role.
It might be about undue influence or something like that? Who knows, seems a bit daft if you ask me. But then also seems like something the party could have and should have checked beforehand. It doesn’t look good that they CBA’d.
Yeah the party really half-arsed that.
