Washington state plans to require electric vehicle charging companies to include Tesla's plug if they want to be part of a state program to electrify highways using federal dollars, an official told Reuters on Thursday.

    This is a dumb move, IMO. Tesla’s Supercharger and Destination Charger sites are everywhere in WA.

    This just adds expense for non-Tesla site operators. If this ends up reducing the number of CCS chargers, I’m gonna be pissed.

      Based on what I understand they are simply adding additional charging port options. The goal is not to eliminate all other types, but add Tesla right now. In 10+ years perhaps the older options like chademo may be phased out, but it’s already not as popular as CCS.
