    The article claims that PRISM was shuttered, but what it doesn’t mention is that hardware manufacturers such as Intel and AMD were both signed up. Around the time this happened, they both introduced their “security chips” that handle encryption as a black box that the user cannot interrogate nor verify the function of. These chips had no purpose at the time they were introduced, however years later and to this day most encrytion services run through them.

    Surveillance is most definitely alive and well, and it has only grown.
