I just upgraded my computer for the first time in a decade to a 7700X and Radeon 6700XT. I’m doing my part!

Same, full AMD build after 2 decades of nvidia/Intel! So glad I don’t have to mess with Nvidia drivers under linux anymore.

It’s sad to see AMD’s absence in the very high end this gen. I know the very high end does not account for much of the user base but it is kinda the anchor of the market. People often chase the champion alas. I am confident AMD is still the best choice in the mid range and even at the high end (7900XTX > RTX4080 in terms of value).

If emulation would shift to AMD it would be a huge push, at least it’s what keeps me with Nvidia since most emulators run a lot better or they are faster to support those cards.

The number of users who care about emulation is utterly insignificant compared to the hold Nvidia has on the compute market. There is a lot of stuff that either requires or is more optimized for CUDA.

Nvidia drivers suck on Linux and they break my system twice a year
