I cancelled Prime a while ago, and the few times I’ve used Amazon since I got multiple checkout stages with pre-selected Prime signups and trials.

We use Prime so we don’t see how predatory it is. This sounds messed up. Glad someone at the FTC is looking at this stuff and actually doing something about it for a change.
Remember having to contact customer support to canceling prime after searching for how to do it for at least half an hour (googling and all), no clue if there actually was a real way. Hope FTC wins but I would guess it will be a small fee that can be seen as an investment by amazon.
