8 books, one short story, and one kids book… enveloping one weird Western tale in a world that has moved on.
The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.
Stick to the books, don’t watch the movie.
Idris Elba was such an intriguing choice for Roland, and he did a good job. Too bad the movie sucked.
He would have kicked 12 kinds of ass as Cort in a faithful adaptation.
I want to live in that timeline.
Dad-a-chum?
Dum-a-chuck?
Just a few posts up someone was talking about the “Weird West” genre of fantasy, and I was thinking about this exact series.
Thankee-sai.
I’ve read this 3 times and once as an audio book. Fantastic series and one of my favorites from King.
My only complaint, and I mean only, is that he stopped doing the flashbacks to young Roland after the 4th book.
Granted book 4 was virtually ALL flashback, but still, there was more story there that is missing now. :(
Sometimes authors have to leave a little story out, to remind us that reality is difficult and unknowable
Wonderful series, but as much as I love King’s work, the man just does not know how to end a story.
Never has… Cell was the worst! “Oh, deadline is tomorrow? Ship it!”
Oy. Olan.
A kid’s book? WTF?
When your coke habit says to write a children’s book, you don’t ask why.
Blain is a pain
Jesus, that 5 year cliffhanger between book 3 and 4…
