This is Papa Bird. He’s my spark bird and got me into birding single wingedly.
He’s been nesting with me for 5 years now which is 2 years beyond their avg life span. He lives in my garage above the house door in a little crack in the wall.
There he has babies with Mama Bird every spring and summer. Their happy little chirps bring me endless joy.
I can open the door to my kitchen and watch him swoop in and out of the nest all day from my chair at the table. He isn’t afraid of me.
I’ve never been more in love. He means everything to me 🤎🖤🤍
From his calm position in the photo, and your description, it seems he loves you back.
We’re birds of a feather ʘ‿ʘ
Aww, I have a pair of catbirds that have been nesting in my forsythia since before I moved in. Every year I look forward to seeing their fledglings awkwardly flying around me while I lay in my hammock, and they have the most beautiful songs.
Birds really are the best neighbors.
This is delightful, I’m happy for you!
Wow! 5 years is awesome!
Thanks for sharing. (Not sarcasm)
There is something strangely pleasing about watching house sparrows going about their lives. They lived in the roof of our old house. Almost felt like they were a part of the family. We’ve since moved & the new place has all the roof gaps either filled in or meshed off. Can’t do anything about it as it’s a rental.
Do you by chance have an interest in generating wireless power?
