      They’re perfect for camping. You can just set it up on a log and forget about it, it will provide a nice passive warm background glow, that’s not irritating or attracting a ton of insects. Its not super bright so you still have a reason to bring 15 flashlights too.

    While the LT1 wins in lumens and convenience by several miles, these Dietz lanterns are unbeatable in their ruggedness, dependability, and longevity. The one pictured here is 70+ years old and works flawlessly.
