I mich prefer buying old bikes and giving them new life. I’m still buying from bike shops for parts, but for sustainability and frugality, I’d much rather spend a couple of hundred on a new old bike, than a couple of thousand on a new new bike.

had my bike stolen during lockdowns and getting a replacement was such a headache, the stock in bike shops was basically non-existent.
not looking for a new bike anytime soon now that I’ve grown attached to my everyday commuter, but can definitely see upgrading parts now that stock has stabilized, for now at least.
I just like that they used a Ripley for the image :D
I have a Ripley V4 and its a fantastic bike. Probably quite easy to get a good deal on a used one now as well.
