In this 1982 segment for PM Magazine, co-host Frank Kerr profiles the fantasy adventure game Dungeons and Dragons. In addition to talking with players from the Beaumont area, he also hears from Dungeons and Dragons creator Gary Gygax. PM Magazine was a local news and entertainment television program broadcast on Beaumont’s KFDM-TV in from late 1970s to the mid-1980s. This segment aired on May 8, 1982.

    Was just talking to a friend today about the “satanic panic” around D&D in the 1980s, as I lived through that. Amazing there was so much pearl-clutching, I guess at the time people were just trying to find stuff to be aghast over, such as this and rock music. Twisted Sister and Kiss just look like theatre now.
