And another potential title; why some might prefer Firefox or Brave.
I will say, from a corporate setting, edge chromium has done better than I anticipated. They still throw out significant updates and changes like this without warning. But it has done better than its previous version.
I’m happy they killed IE in favor of Chromium but it was only a matter of time before they started getting blatant and sloppy with their spying, err, I mean enhancing my experience without my consent. Sigh.
Firefox with
HTTPS Everywhere, uBlock, and Dark Reader works well for me.Edit: Oops, I forgot they rolled HTTPS upgrading into Firefox itself.
Yeah, in the end that’s what I use Edge for: work. Granted, I use all kinds of browsers and profiles for different purposes. For personal use, I stick with Firefox, but some sites just won’t work with it, frustratingly.
Firefox has some great plugins for mucking about with javascript, etc. If you haven’t yet, try out Brave some time. It is a more privacy focused version of chromium that has tracker and adblocking built-in. They do market their crypto lightly (only on new tabs by default) but you can turn that off in their settings.
I like their right-click open link in new private window with Tor.
