      I don’t think unionization would help here. A lot of the core problem is that the business model of things like Reddit is wholly unsustainable, and they need continued income in order to make ends meet. Storage isn’t free, neither is bandwidth, or the people developing the site, or the people that wake up when it breaks.

        I might be completely wrong but I feel like these layoff are for making reddit’s books look better for their IPO as appose to them not being able to afford the workers. If the workers had more bargaining power reddit would probably try to find some other way to fix their books.
