Nice list. I’d add Solaris by Tarkovsky to the SF section.
As to question one. I’d add the 13th floor to the SciFi section. If the matrix came out at a different time, it would be more in the public consciousness.
I clearly need to watch more films that aren’t Disney or Pixar. A quick count tells me I’ve seen 35.
I feel like Vivarium would fit very well in this list
