That’s true. There is still hope that Hamas could walk back some of their demands. It just seemed like a done deal. Israel has yet to agree to the terms as well.
I don’t understand why Hamas would reject the deal that was essentially the same as one they agreed to in the past, that was deemed reasonable by Qatar, Egypt, and the UN. It doesn’t make sense.
So… Some executives are going to jail, right? Right?
The plastic is a nice addition.
Wow, how did that one slip through? Let’s get these racists out of the general population.
Did you read the article? We are here talking about the most promising permanent ceasefire, supported by Egypt, Qatar, USA, and the UN, which Israel has not ruled out. Hamas is now drastically changing the terms to sabotage the ceasefire. It makes no sense to me. They seem to have the most to gain by ending this conflict.
What if I already do that? #AuDHD
I genuinely don’t understand what Hamas gains by continuing this conflict.
Definitely a partnership of convenience. As a group with prominent historical ties to National Socialists, it’s wise to limit their military power. OTOH, they have been extremely effective in fighting Putin’s army.
The enemy of my enemy…
Has there every actually been a moral panic that helped society? Can we just stop with that and let people live their lives?
Thank you for the input. We want to be as transparent as possible so people understand the expectations. This community has always allowed politics, although this is the first US presidential election cycle. If the community decides to make a change, that is always a possibility.
We understand your concerns. Our goal is not to direct or manipulate the dialogue at all. In fact, this policy is specifically to prevent any individual user from manipulating the conversation. We understand that there will almost certainly be more newsworthy material about one candidate or issue.
Our goal is not to enforce any type of equal representation of candidates or issues. However, the articles should reflect equal newsworthiness, as you say.
Yes, although we mention negative posts/comments as an example above, we will be keeping an eye out for all types of abuse.
I think you’ve understood the idea behind the policy.
Thanks for this morning’s WWIII vibes.
I wonder if it will reach a certain point that the Russian people tire of being used as fodder for Putin’s meat grinder.
Nostalgia is a real thing.
Presidents always have higher ratings after they serve than in the moment. It’d be more interesting to know how this compares with Trump at the same time in his term.
