Reddit has several dead communities as well, but nowhere near the level of Voat’s.
This seems like an odd statement. I’d wager Reddit has 10x as many dead subreddits as active ones, if not mroe. Any site that allows the instant creation of unlimited custom communities will have mostly dead ones, and the number of dead communities will increase as the number of users of the site increases.
Maybe the author’s point was more that Voat has more dead communities with simple easily discoverable names.
Is this ironic?
