I keep seeing this shit about rabbits showing dominance by being groomed and cats show dominance by grooming everywhere and it absolutely fucking reeks of being just some made up bullshit that people started sharing because it’s a funny allegory for sub/dom sexual roles.

Anyone got any actual studies on the social meanings of grooming in cats and / or rabbits to dispel my present agitation with the endless cycle of people just making shit up and then other people being like “yeah haha word”?

Why the fuck does being at the vet take SO LONG? I understand being busy but I’ve been to like a dozen different vets and I literally always spend at least an hour just fucking waiting in a room for them to see my pet + figure out billing + present me with bill. Not waiting for examinations or test results. Just fucking sitting around.

Like I get being a vet is stressful, I get there’s a lot going on, but every single time? It’s like some kind of universal constant that being at the vet HAS TO take fucking forever.

You cannot have a well-staffed or under-booked veterinarian. The universe will not allow it.

I played on a The Isle (it sucks don’t play it) server that had rules, and most of the rules were good but one rule that ALWAYS pissed me off was that herbivores were not allowed to attack carnivores unless proved / attacked first. Which A: is not how herbivores work in nature and B: was a god awful rule mechanically for the game, it meant that as an herbivore you were not allowed to fight carnivores unless the carnivore was very confident it had the advantage and could kill you, which also meant that playing as an herbivore was just wandering around eating the same fucking bush over and over for 12 hours until carnivores decided to kill you. Ass.

Anyway I fuck with triceratops, I used to sleep on this dino but it grew on me eventually. Dilophosaurus is still my favorite though, I just love those gangly fuckers.
