    This type of position used to be rather popular on Reddit and other social media, posted by people who thought it was balanced and profound. Of course nowadays it’s mostly losing traction to the “ebil orcs” narrative, but I digress.

    • Essentially revealing their desires to turn their ‘enemy states’ into open air brothels and slave factories to go on a cheap ‘cultural experience’ holiday and to exploit for resources and cheap slaves…

        Indeed! The moment any of us “unique and rich in history” places rear our heads from out of the mud we suddenly become “bellicose”, “authoritarian”, “not respecting human rights and liberal values”

    I’ve visited Japan twice.

    It is a very nice place, but it does not erase any of it’s flaws.
