Threatening us with a good time again, huh.

On a more serious note. Yes, it is possible to argue that USSR was never part of the “allies” - because the “allies” had never seen USSR as a partner, just as a temporary alliance. It took them what, two years, to go from “praise the Soviets and the mighty Chinese vets” to “iron curtain”. And the speed with which “former” Nazi officials were given remit suggests that the “allies” fully considered USSR an enemy. Which makes sense - the Nazis, as evil as they were, did not threaten the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie. Communists did.

If this “battle of Normandy” had indeed failed and had the yanks not been able to advance to Berlin, there would be less incentive for the Red Army to stop. Now of course it would have caused problems further down the line, as indeed I doubt the fledgling Hegemon would have been satisfied with communists advancing. There’d be ops ala Gladio and that one in Ukraine. Although I think Germany would have sued for separate peace before that could happen

Getting this idea through people’s skulls is extremely difficult. Too many think that “Stalin was going to invade Europe too, but Nazis simply got it first”

I’m from Rome and there’s this rivality bcs Rome is the capital, but only on paper. , all the money, the stock exchange and all the cool activities are in Milan, yet Rome is 13 times bigger than Milan, plus Milan is like one of the worst city for young people, yea there are bars and its fun but the rent is like 1000€ a Mont for a room, the public transport is kinda meh n overall one of the most expensive cities in Italy

I guess every Italian needs to choose a city or region to hate.

Well it was but then the nationalist revolutions of 1848 happened, in 1848 almost every Italian state sent troops to fight against the Austrians, a lot of people in the North and the center-north fought for a united Italy 3 Times (1848 1859 1866) (and after 1861, the whole of the country was unified, except Rome) the pope even sent some troops in the 1st indipendence war, also why is the map like that? I mean without even considering that most Italians are happy to stay in Italy and don’t wanna secede, if we want to be historical we should give Veneto to Austria, annex savoy and sardinia to piedmont and create 2 giant States in the center and south (2 Sicilies and papacy)
