I’d say it’s worth it! My DAW of choice is Logic Pro X on my Mac, but I’ve always been meaning to get good with Ardour. Zrythm also looks promising https://www.zrythm.org/en/index.html
Yeah, one day I’ll download and learn Ardour. I’ve been putting it off for too long.
It’s not open source, and in fact it’s paid software, but Bitwig is the best DAW I’ve ever used and it’s on Linux via flatpak.

When I was doing music production, I did get kind of used to ableton live, but all of these essentially do the same thing. I would probably try to learn ardour or bitwig if I was getting back into it.
Theres also zrythm, which is kind of a compromise between those two.

Shit i don’t know what happened to my previous comment. I saw it was posted twice and later deleted one but then none were there. Anyway. Yes you can, it’s easy actually, except if you wanna get into the mainstream industry, because of the Monopoly on music software
I believe lemmur has this visual double post bug. It’s purely visual, there’s only one comment there. If you reload the app or something (I don’t use lemmur) it will correctly show only one comment. At least, I remember reading this.
Honestly I can say yes. I’m a Linux user and currently learning with fl studio (I got it with a magnet lol)
I like ardour and i believe you can use reaper now as well, though reaper is more like shareware at 65 bucks. What are you trying to record? Beats or instruments or singing? Do you have an interface yet? I like the tascam 16 channel, or the presonus audiobox for price and value. My buddy actually recorded a whole album in Linux, the painful birth of Nehemiah st Danger, check it out.
