I liked the video. However, it feels strange to me that he didn’t mention neither Japan or Korea. Specially because in one of the clips he uses, the commentator mentions “Kanji”, refering to the Chinese characters used on the Japanese writing system, not the ones used on the Chinese one.
Yeah that was a surprising omissions, also would’ve been interesting to mention gestures as input and how that compares.
I was going to say the same, hiragana was invented a fucking lot earlier than pinyin, so I don’t see it as something so groundbreaking, although the prediction part was a bit.
