Seriously, I want to know why, even though Trockij was one of the chief players in the Russian Revolution, why people don’t like his ideology. (I don’t want any quotes from Lenin/Stalin/Mao/whoever, I want an explanation of what Trockijism is)
The way you spell Slavic names doesn’t really do you much help, tbh. I know this is off topic to what you’re asking for but.
There’s a concept in Linguistics called mutual intelligibility, to oversimplify it as far as conversations go, if you want to be understood by a group of people you need to speak their version of their language. People can work out who ‘Trockij’ is, but you’re asking for a lot more effort than the average reader will want to put in, which is antithetical to the conversation and works against you.
Just say Trotsky. Make it easy on everyone, and just say their English name, even if it’s imperfect. Everyone will thank you, and I mean EVERYONE.
Except with English because imperialism and nowadays everyone says the English version instead of the actual version in their language. Yay.
