Mentions only work in comments, not in posts (for now).
Unfortunately it isn’t working in comments either. I haven’t gotten any notifications of Lemmygrad, and apparently I can’t even access this community from over there (it returns 404).
I’m currently doing a major rewrite of our whole activitypub code, so there’s not much use debugging this now. Would you try this again once v0.12 is released, and open an issue if the problem persists?
Note that if any user on lemmygrad follows this community, all posts and comments will be delivered to the instance, and mentions would probably be “fixed” by that. So to test it correctly, you need to avoid this. Best by testing in a new community on one of the test servers. Just a note for when you repeat this.
I’ll test this after the recode then!

Type @ and start typing their username. You’ll see a list of possible matches, click on the one you want and the correctly formatted mentuion will be generated.
