Hope for abandoning the carricatural graphics, but otherwise i do think every Civ game except 3 was great.

Unfortunately, Firaxis don’t have great record recently, they especially completely demolished their best game, X-com by releasing the crappy sidespin Chimera squad, then baiting people with Marvel midnight suns supposedly being based on the same mechanics (instead we got glorified card game with grind and dialogues inbearably cringy even for capeshit standards) and apparently abandoning entire series altogether despite successor is very much awaited.

I’m afraid it’s gonna be even more gimmicky than Civ 6. I hope they really change direction.
