Been using k9 for… well I don’t know… but it’s several years. Nice and intuitive to use, but many advanced options tucked away, too.
My smartphone guide ages well with such solid app recommendations. You go K-9!

Fwiw, I am not a long time user but do prefer the new 5.800.

Same for me, here. I’d suggest updating repositories, but I just did that and it didn’t help.
