I dont think thats not something you can turn off. Part of being a communist is that we acutely feel the injustices around us.
Instead of letting that depress, you, try to turn it into something positive. It is true that one person alone cant change much, but communism is a collective ideology, meaning we work together with others. So the best thing you can do is organize with likeminded people, eg in a student union or labor union, in a neighboorhood committee, or if possible in a communist party.

Sorry I cant think of any specific texts, you could try asking about that in !email@example.com. And it doesnt have to be an explicitly communist group either, to read and discuss texts that are relevant to your situation. Not just Marx or Lenin, but also authors from your own country (anything that your groups agrees on really).
Anti-capitalist here, not a communist although I enjoy Marxist thought very much.
I’ve come around to there being no ideology presenting any viable ideas to tackle our gravest of challenges ahead. I have in the past met similar challenges as you describe - being an alien aware of all the horrible things going down right now, knowing there are solutions yet you are looked upon as coco in the cocopuffs if you even politely critique our current way-, our structure and political systems and ideology - even slightly. ”bUt IpHoNE!!” It shrieks, as you have offended the closed mollusk.
With beggars, are we the common man the ones who are supposed to swallow every story of children back home, granny dieing, amputee, no job and somehow solve their problem with collective pennies? A grand would not even begin to solve their social incompatibilities in bourgeoisie society and thus you can’t take it upon your own consciousness to save them from their reality within the status quo. It’s sad, but that’s also the case for a lot of other issues and you are not the savior of all.
I have given up on Sapiens as a whole finding peace and a peaceful way of life on planet earth. Only I, me the Sapiens Linkert can do what I can do to tread lightly on the planet along with my family - no ideology will inform anyone of such realization to heart.
I think that feeling should be common among anti-capitalists who haven’t learned enough or don’t know how it is possible to make a change. that feeling when capitalism disgusts you, yet you don’t know how to respond, and you don’t know how to channel this strong feeling into something productive. maybe it’s because we haven’t taken our time to actually learn theory, hell, I don’t even know what exactly socialism and communism are, so I can’t even identify as one. so maybe it’s not knowing enough?
well, you’re lucky, I don’t think I’ve ever met a single leftist in my life T_T
Maybe you should consider giving some verbal teachings, if you are capable enough. Money is not the only form of token value you can share with others in a society. After all, a communist society is a classless, moneyless and stateless society, so why would you consider charity, a whitewashing symbol of capitalism, to bring senses into someone?
I will openly admit I am a socialist in feelings, and in principles to a decent degree, not a scholar level like a lot of communists and socialists are on Lemmy or in the far left pockets. I need to learn a lot. But one thing I can say is that to an extent I have a grasp of that feeling, that disgust you would want to embody against capitalism and how the model works against proletariat, the core of the society.
You cannot muahahahaha
Being unable to change things is certainly depressing, having that said, putting all the weigh on you as an individual is in more than one way ignoring the diagnosis of communism. This is a collective problem, once the majority understands and want to change that, then we can start taking actions as individuals.
Also, let’s not forget that democracy is key.
