Imo for most people some thin client terminal would be enough to get by. Thats basically what smartphones do except with ridiculously inefficient software.
How about extending the challenge duration, making it open-ended as in “use yr old computer as long as you can”? been doing that for a while now & it’s getting harder all the time, but challenge accepted!
You should be able to contact the creator of the challenge, since they’re active on Mastodon. You could also create your own challenge.
