What was that episode?! It felt like a fever dream as opposed to an actual piece of sci-fi.
Trip didn’t deserve this.
You know what? No. As far as I’m concerned, nothing the episode shows about the NX-01 crew actually happened. Historical fiction almost certainly exists in the Federation, and that was what Riker was playing in the holodeck.
Trip deffo didn’t deserve that, but watching it as part of “Pegasus” actually makes it fit better AND lets one headcanon that it’s a really good historical fiction and didn’t actually happen…
It was a travesty towards a series that was actually picking up speed. First two seasons was hit and miss, but I did quite like it generally. However, seasons three and four were really good.
The last episode making it out as some simulation to keep Riker amused was a real kick in the teeth. So, yeah, terrible ending. Enterprise deserved better.
Everyone hates it.
When I go back to re-watch the series, I just pretend it doesn’t exist.
